When creating a PowerPoint presentation ready for print there are a few steps you need to follow. Here is our step-by-step guide to make your PowerPoint presentation ready for print.
1. Ensure that your slide size is set to the correct UK paper size. To view UK paper sizes click the button below. Please note, PowerPoint defaults to a screen size, not a UK Paper Size. To change your slide size go to design menu and select slide size top right. Then select, custom slide size. Enter your dimensions. When setting margins in PowerPoint, we recommend a 0.6cm margin from the edge of your page, for designs with images or backgrounds you want to bleed to edge, with no white boarders. If you would like your design bound, or hole punched, your margin will need to increase to 1.5cm on the bound edge. Please note, if you would like your design printed double sided, the bound margin will be on the left for odd pages, and right for even pages. Once you have set up your margins please ensure you keep all text, graphics or images you want to remain visible within this margin. This will ensure these items are not cut into when finishing.
2. Once your slide size and margins are correct. Start to add in your design. If your design has multiple pages make sure that you supply your PDF file in sequential order. If your design contains any corporate colours you will need to convert these from RGB to CMYK. Any RGB colours will be automatically converted in print to CMYK. We cannot guarantee this conversion will be an exact match to corporate colour values.
3. Once you are happy with your design it is time to save it as a PDF. Go to file save as. Click on browse Choose the PDF option from the save as type drop down list. Save your design on your computer. Now you have a PowerPoint presentation ready for print. Make sure to review your design before supplying us with the print ready files.
