Top Tips:
When placing your order for wirebound booklets with Prontaprint, there are a few key tips to ensure you get the best results:
- High-Resolution Artwork:
Always provide high-resolution images and graphics to ensure your wirebound booklet is crisp and visually appealing (300dpi or more). Low-resolution files can lead to blurry prints. - Page Layout:
Make sure to follow proper layout guidelines for wiro binding, including bleed, margins, and page count. Prontaprint's team is available to offer guidance if you're unsure. - Page margins:
Leave enough space on the bound side (at least 15mm) to avoid the punched holes cutting into important text or images. For double sided printing, your bound margin will be on the Left edge for odd pages and right edge for even pages. - Proofread Your Content:
Before submitting your file for printing, thoroughly review and proofread your content to avoid any last-minute changes or costly reprints. - Choose the Right Binding:
Before designing your publication, consider the binding option that best suits your needs. - Paper Selection:
Think about the look and feel of your publication. A glossy paper finish offers a vibrant, upscale look, while matte or uncoated paper provides a more subdued, professional feel. Opt for a heavier paper stock for more durable and high-quality pages. - Cover finish:
Going for a laminated cover enhances durability and provides protection against wear and tear, ideal for booklets that will be frequently handled. Alternatively, you can add clear or frosted acetate covers front and back for protection on short print runs.
