Local print and design business Prontaprint is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the opening of its first print centre in Warwickshire. The first branch was in Stratford-upon-Avon. Its success led to centres opening in Leamington Spa and more recently Coventry.
Director and founder Alex Graham says a lot has changed in 20 years.
“We have evolved and developed to offer services none of us could have dreamt up two decades ago. What’s really exciting for me is while initially we built our expertise around printing we have embraced technology and can now do so much more.”
Tadhgh Martin (Director) agrees, “today we offer an amazing range of services from design to marketing, signage through to direct mail and everything in between. The beauty of our business is that our clients are able to deal with a print and design specialist. We interpret their requirements and offer the best solutions for any budget.”
This year is a double celebration because it is also 50 years since the UK’s first Prontaprint centre was opened in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Always at the forefront of technology Prontaprint was one of the first places to offer a fax service as well as selling mobile phones in its very early days.
Since 1971 Prontaprint has grown to become the UK’s largest print and design network. Despite this, Director Alex Graham says the Warwickshire centres are still very much local businesses.
“What I am most proud of is how we have reacted to the needs of local customers. This was never more evident than during the COVID pandemic. Our print centres have always been and will continue to be part of the community. We pride ourselves on our customer commitment and I’m incredibly proud of my team for the strong local relationships they have built up and kept over the years”.
